By installing, accessing, or using the CHROMANGA Chrome Extension (“Extension”) or visiting the CHROMANGA website at chromanga.com (“Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Extension or Website. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CHROMANGA (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
CHROMANGA is a Chrome Extension that uses artificial intelligence to colorize black-and-white manga pages directly in your browser. The service consists of:
All image processing is performed locally on your device. No images are uploaded to or processed on our servers.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use CHROMANGA. By using the Extension or Website, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Extension for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

Chromanga’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The Extension, Website, AI colorization model, associated code, visual design, branding, and all related intellectual property are owned by CHROMANGA and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The CHROMANGA name, logo, and “Click. Colorize. Read.” tagline are our trademarks.
CHROMANGA does not host, store, or distribute any manga content. The Extension operates on images that are already displayed in your browser from third-party websites. We do not claim any ownership or rights over the manga content you choose to colorize.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Extension complies with the terms of service of the websites you visit and any applicable copyright laws. CHROMANGA is a tool that modifies the visual display of content within your browser; it does not grant any rights to the underlying content.
The Extension incorporates the following third-party technology:
The Website uses Next.js (by Vercel), Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion, and Google Fonts. These are standard web technologies and their use is governed by their respective licenses and terms.
The Extension comes pre-configured with support for popular manga reading websites. You can also add custom websites through the Extension’s options page. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these third-party manga websites. Availability of the Extension’s functionality on any particular website depends on that website’s structure and may change without notice.
THE EXTENSION AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:
The quality of colorization depends on factors including the source image quality, your device’s hardware capabilities (GPU/CPU), and the specific art style of the manga.
CHROMANGA is not responsible for any hardware overheating, battery drain, or system instability caused by the intensive GPU/CPU calculations required for AI colorization.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CHROMANGA AND ITS DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF:
Since the Extension is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Extension shall not exceed $0 USD.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CHROMANGA and its developer from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Extension or Website; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights of manga publishers or website operators.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension or Website (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service. Updates to the Extension are delivered through the Chrome Web Store and may include changes to functionality, supported websites, or the AI model.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. By continuing to use the Extension or Website after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Extension and uninstall it.
You may terminate your use of CHROMANGA at any time by uninstalling the Extension from your browser. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Extension if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, all locally stored data (preferences and cached images) will be removed when the Extension is uninstalled.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Extension or Website shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions of these Terms remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CHROMANGA regarding the use of the Extension and Website, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
